99.5% al2o3 grinding bead
Due to the fine and uniform α-alumina crystal structure, it has the best wear resistance and crack resistance, resulting in a surprisingly long life. For example, ground aluminum oxide powder has several times the wear resistance of commercially available zirconia beads (see Figure 1).
High purity (purity 99.5%)
It also has very low radioisotope content, such as U and Th, making it suitable for radiation-averse applications (see Table 1).
■ Strong resistance to hot water
Even when the slurry temperature is raised during the grinding process, as observed with zirconia beads, the wear resistance is not reduced and can be used over a wide temperature range. It also has excellent corrosion resistance to acids and alkalis.
■ Crushing control
Since the density is 2/3 of the density of zirconia beads, excessive energy is not applied when crushing the nanoparticles, and excessive grinding and reaggregation can be inhibited. In addition, the filling weight is 2/3 of zirconia.
■ Bead size
We offer φ0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5mm beads, including small diameter alumina beads φ0.1mm currently on the market. Please contact us for other sizes.
