Ceramic Pall Ring

Ceramic Pall Ring is a type of high surface-area ring-type packing developed based on the Ceramic Raschig Ring. Each layer of the ring features five lobe-shaped openings, with each lobe bending inward toward the center of the ring. The positions of the openings in adjacent layers are staggered. The open area typically accounts for about 30% of the total wall area of the ring, allowing gases and liquids to pass freely through the openings and improving gas-liquid distribution by fully utilizing the internal surface of the ring.

Detail

Ceramic Pall Ring packing is commonly used for gas or liquid separation and catalytic reactions. The ceramic pall ring is ring-shaped with distinct inner and outer diameters. Its ring design provides rich flow channels and contact surfaces for fluids. Typically, ceramic pall rings have a porous structure that increases the contact area of the fluids and enhances mass transfer efficiency. The surface of ceramic pall rings is generally smooth, but in some applications, it may have minor textures to improve the uniformity of liquid and gas distribution.

Ceramic Pall Ring

Due to the use of ceramic materials, pall rings exhibit excellent chemical stability, maintaining stable performance in harsh environments such as high temperatures and acidic or alkaline conditions. Ceramic materials have high mechanical strength, enabling them to withstand certain operational pressures and impacts, making them suitable for high-load industrial applications. Ceramic pall rings can be used under high-temperature conditions, with good heat resistance, suitable for high-temperature reactions or separation processes. They come in various sizes and thicknesses to meet the needs of different industrial equipment and operating conditions, typically ranging from a few millimeters to several tens of millimeters in diameter.

Ceramic Pall Ring

Ceramic pall rings are widely used in various fields due to their excellent performance and adaptability. They are primarily used in gas desulfurization, denitrification, and other gas scrubbing processes to enhance the contact efficiency between gases and liquids by providing a large contact surface area. In wastewater treatment systems, ceramic pall rings serve as packing to offer ample surface area for biofilm growth, improving wastewater treatment efficiency. They are suitable for use in biofilm reactors and biofilters. In catalytic reactions, ceramic pall rings are used as catalyst carriers, capable of withstanding high temperatures and corrosive environments, thereby improving catalyst stability and reaction efficiency.

Ceramic Pall Ring

They are used as packing in distillation and absorption towers to increase the gas-liquid contact area within the tower, enhancing separation effectiveness. In gas separation processes, they help improve separation efficiency, such as in air separation and natural gas processing applications. In the petrochemical industry, ceramic pall rings are used in dehydrogenation and cracking reaction units to provide a stable operating environment and improve reaction performance. They are also used in cooling towers to increase the gas-liquid contact area of cooling water, enhancing cooling efficiency. Additionally, they are used to treat various industrial waste gases, such as those generated in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, by providing good gas distribution and contact surfaces for better purification results.
