PP stepped ring packing is a packing commonly used in gas-liquid contactors, especially in columns and reactors. Its structural features are designed to improve mass transfer efficiency and optimize fluid distribution. The main feature of PP stepped rings is that they have stepped protrusions on their ring body. This stepped structure increases the surface area of the packing and provides additional points of contact, resulting in improved gas-liquid mass transfer efficiency. Each stepped ring has a stepped design on the inner and outer ring walls, and this double-sided stepped design optimizes the flow path of gases and liquids, promoting an even distribution of gases and liquids. The design of the stepped ring packing guarantees a high porosity, which allows for a large amount of space for gases and liquids to flow through the packed bed, reducing flow resistance.
