Ceramic structured packing is a new type of structured packing, which is composed of many packing units with the same geometric shape. Due to the unique structure of the ceramic, with good hydrophilic properties, the surface can form a very thin liquid film turbulence and the inclined zigzag channel of the air flow can promote the air flow but not block the air flow so that the ceramic packing can match the metal packing, and its corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance of the metal packing can not be compared. The surface structure has good wetting performance, which can speed up the liquid flow and minimize the liquid retention of the packing. This reduces the chance of overheating, polymerization and coking.

Plastic structured packing refers to the use of plastic material, through a specific process to form a regular shape, arranged packing. This packing is usually made of polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), reinforced polypropylene (RPP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and other plastic materials. Plastic orifice corrugated packings are made of reinforced polypropylene and other sheets with similar properties to metal orifice corrugated packings of the same size.
