Pall ring : Pall ring packing has a ring structure, usually used in the extraction tower, has good corrosion resistance and heat resistance. Its structure is characterized by many small Windows on the ring wall, which increases the gas-liquid contact area and improves the mass transfer efficiency.

Performance difference between rectangular saddle ring and pall ring
mass transfer performance : The mass transfer performance of the rectangular saddle ring is better than that of the Pall ring because of its unique structure. Its open structure is conducive to the distribution of liquid on the surface of the filler and promotes the renewal of the liquid surface, thus improving the mass transfer performance.
flux and pressure drop : The torque saddle ring has a larger flux and lower pressure, which makes it more efficient when handling large quantities of liquids. In contrast, the flux and pressure drop of the Pall ring are relatively average.

Rectangular saddle ring packing is widely used in oil refining industry.
