Plastic packing materials include: polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), reinforced polypropylene (RPP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF). It has good corrosion resistance, large void, large flux, small resistance, low energy consumption, low operating costs, light weight, easy handling and reusable. Especially suitable for oil, chemical, chlor-alkali, gas, environmental protection and other industries in the medium and low temperature (60-150 degrees) distillation, absorption and washing tower.

Among them, the commonly used plastic tower packing can be divided into two categories: bulk packing (or scattered packing) and structured packing
Plastic packing includes: Pall ring, moment saddle ring, heterosaddle ring, ladder ring, Haier ring, conjugate ring, flat ring, Koster wreath, empty floating ball, multi-faceted ball, net cage ball and cover ball and so on.
Plastic structured packing includes: plastic plate corrugated packing, plastic wire mesh corrugated packing, honeycomb inclined pipe, honeycomb straight pipe and so on
What is the difference between plastic loose packing and regular packing?
1. Shape and structure:
Plastic scattered packing: its shape is usually irregular, consisting of a large number of orderly or disorderly stacking of the same small packing. This design allows the bulk packing to have a large volume and surface area, and at the same time can achieve good mass transfer through clever design.
Structured packing: Its shape is relatively regular, usually in accordance with a certain shape or other requirements neatly stacked in the chemical tower. Each of the packings is close together to form a whole, which helps optimize fluid distribution and mass transfer efficiency.
2. Packing density and ventilation:
Plastic scattered packing: due to its looser shape, the empty space is relatively large, and the packing density is relatively low. This characteristic makes the air permeability of the loose packing better, suitable for the need for high-pass gas occasions.
Regular packing: Due to its regular shape, the packing is orderly and the packing density is relatively high. This helps to improve the density and stability of the filling in the tower, but correspondingly, its ventilation may not be as good as that of the loose packing.
3. Application:
Plastic packing: It is usually used in situations where high gas permeability and low density requirements are required, such as biogas fermentation, water treatment, air filtration, etc. In addition, it has good pressure resistance and reliability, and is also suitable for high viscosity and low density logistics liquids.
Structured packing: It is more suitable for applications requiring high filling density and stability, such as wastewater treatment, chemical reactors, powder storage, etc. At the same time, it can also handle low-density and high-viscosity logistics liquids well, and ensure the stability and reliability of the logistics tower.
