Perforated ceramic ball is a new product developed on the basis of inert alumina ceramic ball. It takes the ball diameter as the axis for opening holes, which has a certain mechanical strength, chemical stability and thermal stability, and increases the specific surface area and voidage, thereby increasing the dispersion and flux of the material and reducing the resistance of the system. It can be widely used in petroleum, chemical and natural gas industries to replace inert alumina ceramic balls as catalyst covering supporting packings.

According to the mass transfer effect and medium of the packing, the open-hole ceramic ball is a new type of spherical packing for supporting and covering, which is designed and made on the basis of the inert ceramic ball through the study of the fluid characteristics of the packing layer. Its main principle is: using corundum and mullite as the main crystal phase of the product, taking feldspar glass and kaolin sintered body as the structural bridge, using alumina sintered corundum and mullite crystals of high mechanical strength, high temperature resistance, resistance to cold and heat, oxidation resistance, wear resistance, very low chemical activity, resistance to strong acid and alkali corrosion.

One or more round holes are opened in the diameter of the ball to solve the problem of rotation resistance of a single ball. Curved ceramic ball with open holes or convex convex surface, improve the porosity and specific surface area of the packing layer, liquid redistribution ability is strong, vapor-liquid dispersion performance is excellent, and inert alumina ceramic ball under the same conditions compared with the performance, porosity increased 12%, contact specific surface area increased 25%, resistance reduced 15%. At the same time, it can contain and trap coke powder, gum and heavy metal impurities to avoid their deposition in the catalyst bed to coking and poison the catalyst.

Technical indicators of perforated ceramic balls

1. Aperture and porosity: aperture refers to the size of the hole on the surface of the ceramic ball, and porosity refers to the proportion of the area occupied by the hole. These two indexes directly affect the air permeability and filtration effect of the perforated ceramic ball. Generally speaking, the smaller the aperture and the higher the porosity, the better the permeability and filtration effect of the ceramic ball.

2. Compressive strength: Compressive strength is an important indicator to measure the pressure bearing capacity of perforated ceramic balls. High-quality perforated ceramic balls should have a high compressive strength to ensure that they are not easily broken or deformed during use.

3. Corrosion resistance: Because the ceramic ball is often used in corrosive environments, corrosion resistance is also one of its important technical indicators. High-quality perforated ceramic balls should be able to resist various chemical corrosion and maintain stable performance.
